Day One

Welcome to Hawaii! Prepare to enjoy beaches, tropical paradise and incredible performance.

  • Departure from a mainland airport for Hawaii
  • Arrival in Honolulu, Hawaii; meet your On Trek trip leaders; traditional Hawaiian lei greeting
  • Transfer to hotel in Waikiki and check-in

  • Enjoy your evening on Waikiki Beach, meaning spouting fresh water in Hawaiian for springs and streams that fed wetlands that once separated Waikiki from the interior. Waikiki has long been a place of relaxation. In particular, the area was a retreat for Hawaiian royalty in the 1800s. Hawaiian royalty enjoyed surfing at Waikiki on early forms of long boards. Waikiki Beach is noted for its magnificent views of Diamond Head, its usually warm and cloud-free climate and its surf is known for its long rolling break.

Enjoy Waikiki, a clinic at the University of Hawaii, and a performance at Oahu’s premier site, Ala Moana's Center Stage*

Swim and sun at Waikiki Beach, hike Diamond Head Crator, snorkel at Hanauma Bay, canoe & surf lessons and Honolulu Surfing Museum.

  • Learn about a pivotal moment in American history when you visit the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, commemorating all military personnel killed in the Pearl Harbor attack, where Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto stated: “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant…”
  • Find Hawaii’s best buys at Aloha Flea Market in the Aloha Stadium, the home of football’s Pro Bowl. This has become Hawaii's premier outdoor market, featuring over 700 vendors, crafters, artists from all over the world, a true melting pot of Aloha and merchandise!

Day Five

Enjoy a free day to explore Waikiki Beach, the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium and an authentic Hawaiian Iuau at Paradice Cove.

  • This day is free until 4pm for activity of your choice ( not included in price ): enjoying structured activities ( not included in price ): choices range from swimming and sunning Waikiki Beach to hiking Diamond Head Crater, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay ( trip leader will assist you to organize these )
  • Enjoy an authentic Hawaiian luau at Paradise Cove on the leeward beaches of Oahu. Guests can try their hand at traditional Hawaiian arts and crafts, such as lei-making or spear-throwing, then experience an Imu Ceremony, hula dancing, and all-you-can-eat buffet dinner. Paradise Cove blazes with spectacular Pacific sunsets!

  • Special invitational performance opportunity at the Governor’s Memorial Day Ceremony* Your performance will include the interlude, and possibly the prelude and postlude songs. This annual event is hosted by the Hawaii State Veteran’s Association at Kaneohe Bay Cemetery, honoring the member of the United States Armed Forces to an audience of 400 to 600 veterans of World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and the Iraq War. In addition to keynote speeches by the Governor of Hawaii, other major military personnel include the U.S. Army General of Hawaii and the Commander of the Pacific Fleet, plus members of the Consular and Diplomatic Corps.
  • En route back to Waikiki, drive over the Ko’olau Mountains to Nu’uanu Pali Lookout, the site of King Kamehameha’s final battle to unite the Hawaiian Islands
  • Cash handout $15 for dinner at Makai Market at Ala Moana Shopping Center
  • Transfer to Honolulu International Airport

There are 3 variable factors which may increase or decrease the final price: 1) the actual cost of airfare when booking flights; 2) fuel surcharges and taxes passed along by the airline at the time of ticketing between 30-45 days prior to travel; and 3) the actual number of paying travelers. Actual airfare and trip price are contingent upon rates available when booking flights for ???? High School and will be invoiced accordingly.
