Before we begin any project, we like to sit down with our clients over a cup of coffee. This meeting marks the beginning of an ongoing conversation.
If we both feel like it makes sense to proceed, you’ll have the option to sign up for our membership. This is what seals the deal and kicks off the building process:
1. Design
Once we’re clear on the scope of the project and you’ve accepted our estimate, we’ll start designing.
Design is so much more than creating graphics. Using the direction we gained during our initial meeting, we’ll create a mockup for you: a first shot at what we think will be the best solution for your situation. The most important thing for us to develop together at this stage is a laser-focused end goal — the message we’re wanting our design to communicate.
Sometimes, everything falls into place and we know we’ve nailed it! Other times, it’s more like Thomas Edison filling his journal with 40,000 pages of notes before finally figuring out the light bulb. (Okay, maybe not quite that drastic.) But this part is usually tricky … We’re crafting a story here. It’s not supposed to be easy — but it’s a lot of fun!
This process typically takes about 1-3 weeks.
2. Build
This is where your dream becomes a reality! We work our web magic and all the pieces start coming together. We’ve got years of experience and a whole bunch of tricks up our sleeve.
You’ll be able to watch the process as it unfolds and ask questions that come to mind. Don’t forget — this is a creative process. It’s more art than a science, so it’s very important that we work together closely so we can create something both beautiful and effective.
We pay very close attention to detail; it’s vital that the end result doesn’t just look gorgeous, but that it also functions perfectly across all web platforms and screen sizes. (This is called “responsive” design, and it’s becoming more and more essential to good web design in this age of smartphones and tablets.)
Depending on the scope of the project, this stage typically takes 2-5 weeks.
3. Launch!
Whoohoo! It’s time to share this beautiful new creation with the world! Gather your family & friends around — it’s time to party!
Once you give us the go-ahead, crack open a cold one and sit back while we light the fuse on your rocket ship to Internet stardom. Depending on the project, this can be a simple process (1-2 hours) or something more complex that requires dozens of cups of coffee and 10+ hours.
No need to worry though — we’re professionals and we like a good challenge. Your project will be officially launched within 12-24 hours, and the whole world can begin to engage with your brand!
3. Control What’s Yours!
Wow, that launch was fun, eh!? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Just wait until you grab the controls on this bad boy. You’re going to have a blast! And don’t be nervous — we’ll be right beside you every step of the way.
